SOTG 296 - FBI Director Doesn't Know How to Buy a Gun

As insane as it might sound, the currently Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the agency that oversees the National Instant Background Check System, is not sure what happens if a person wants to buy a firearm online.

During the SWAT Fuel Fitness talk we continue the Training Season discussion and Professor Paul gives his opinion on humping. You don’t want to miss that. Also, it is an important day as we welcome a brand new sponsor partner to SOTG Radio: SilencerShop.com

From dailycaller.com:

“James Comey is the current Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI oversees the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) – the system that is in place to keep undesirables from buying a new gun.

During a December 9, 2015, Senate Judiciary Committee meeting Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina asked, “If I buy a gun on the internet is it delivered to my home?” Comey responded, “I assume it is shipped to you but I don’t know for sure actually.” The primary purpose of the meeting was to discuss the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California.

The Director clearly is unaware that if you buy a firearm online it is shipped to someone holding a Federal Firearms License (FFL). Then the FFL holder is required to have the purchaser fill out an Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) form 4473, contact the FBI and get the purchase authorized through the NICS process his organization administers.
