SOTG 053 Pt. 1 – You Don’t Know Dick
Are you aware of the Dick Act of 1902, also known as the Efficiency of the Militia Act of 1903? If not, you might not know Dick. This week we examine the Dick Act (HR 11654) and consider what it means to American gun owners.
We also have Slave State News from Kalifornia and New York. One state wants to overturn a Pro-2A court ruling and another wants to jail a homeowner for shooting an armed intruder.

I agree that Randy Dunn is a douche nozzle. Why on earth should a person in their own home should vacate your castle, or try to sit down and sing Coumbaya with a person seeking to harm you? It would seem to me that any and every criminal in the Kansas City area should start breaking into his house. Clearly he is wealthy because taxpayers provide too much, in my opinion, to the people of Congress. They frequently will filibuster when they choose to not get along. They will spend days/weeks deliberately stopping progress on budget and other topics that need to be agreed upon quickly. Criminals should break in to his home regularly and take his stuff. The first thing he is going to do is pray to his religiously preferred deity, then call someone with a gun, and pray they can get to him before his family gets harmed. I doubt he will still want to reason with the bad guys after even the first break in. What a piece of work. Why are the “good guys with guns” not trying to get him removed from office?!

I was reading Dick. Interesting. I thought I hard you say that you thought this rendered all of the stupid gun regulations mute. I don’t see it. I do see where the quartermasters of the various States get all of the latest toys, but I don’t see where we as citizens are explicitly allowed to keep them. Were did I miss it?
Two things I do think I see… 1) The right of a Governor to call out the militia to stand on the international border and repel invaders (drug smugglers etc). Something AZ, New Mexico, and Texas sorely need. ( I don’t much care about CA ) 2) An opportunity for those children of the illegals we have already allowed in to gain a legal path. There are way too many of these kids who are here now that were brought here as babies, grew up here, graduated from school here, who are as American as my kids, and do not have a future because our Government abandoned them. Our Government should have evicted their parent years ago and didn’t now we have all of these kids…. Anyway, I think it says that any able bodied individual who declares a desire to become a citizen, may enlist in the militia. It does not say legal resident, it says any foreigner.

While I would love to believe that the Dick Act is all you say it is, I did due diligence as a Student of The Gun and read it myself. I did not find that it allows for three types of militia, unrestricted access to arms, or the Act to be non- repealable. Further checking came up with this Snopes report that makes some valid points.

I don’t believe snopes anymore but read what I could on my phone and on the initial page, page 7 I believe of the actual document it specifically says two, not three. 🙁
To me this document, of what I read, does more to say 2A means the National Guard. 🙁
Hmm as a male over 45 I guess I no longer have 2nd amendment protection since as of my 45th birthday I am no longer part of the unorganized militia. Is this not what the act says?
