On August 25, 2023, near Kingston, Massachusetts, a bear attack was stopped with a pistol.  The bear started by attacking a goat. Bear attacks against animals that depend on people for their protection are much more common than direct attacks against people. From Kingston Police on Facebook:

Shortly before 3pm this afternoon KPD responded to Hawthorne Road for a report of a black bear attacking a resident’s livestock (goat). Initial investigation appears to reveal the following:

Upon the bear attacking the resident’s goat, the resident attempted to scare the bear away, the bear postured up towards the resident and the resident reported he was in fear of being attacked. The resident then shot the bear with his lawfully owned firearm.

At that time, the bear fled into the wood line. Upon police arriving, we were unable to locate the bear. KPD contacted the Massachusetts Environmental Police who are conducting an investigation and have been unable to locate the bear as of this time.

FULL TRANSCRIPT

All right. We're starting out with a brand new well, not it's not brand new, but it's freshly cleaned SD card. So that's good. That's a good thing, right? We updated and cleaned out our SD card, so we're starting fresh today.

Why do I want to know that? Well, you don't, but you're here, so calm down. It's student of the gun radio, in case you haven't been paying attention to the world. What is going on in the world? Well, we may end up the United States in a war with Russia.

They're like, good, we're going to go over there and kick their Brusky butts. Dudes, it's not 1983 anymore. It's not red dawn. You need to take a deep breath, take a step back, calm down, realize what's going on. You want to save some money? Do you? I'm going to tell you how to save I don't like to do that.

I'm going to tell you how to save some money.

You think Mr. Pogue is in hiding? You think he's hiding now? He won't come out of his house.

For those of you that don't know a gentleman, it might have not even been a real human. It might have been just

a pen name or something. But if you're going to come up with a pen name, would you call yourself like, Johnny Pogue?

I would. Just to give people something to talk about. I wouldn't. So many years ago, a colossal douchebag wrote an article about how you should not carry a gun in the outdoors or the wilderness because you're more likely to hurt yourself with that gun than you ever are to need it to defend yourself against an animal, because that just doesn't happen.

Mr. Pogue said that he's been going to the woods for 30 years and never needed a gun. So because of that, you don't either. Well,

the hits just keep on rolling. We had another black bear attack. Yes, we did. Had another black bear attack. But this was a happy ending, and we're going to talk about it, and then we're going to talk about lies, more lies. And do you get it yet? Do your neighbors get it yet?

And I know that some of you guys do. You're like, okay, I get it. I get it. But I also know jared, what do we also know? We also know that there sometimes are people out there listening that don't get it. And it's not until I drive the point home that they have that epiphanous moment, and they're like, okay, I was wrong for a long time, but now I'm going to fix myself.

I've had testimonials. I've. Had in person testimonials from audience members that said, yeah. I was like, no, this is all a bunch of paranoia and bull crap. And he said, then I started listening louder.

We're going to give you the opportunity to listen a little bit louder. And you know what they say the sign of intelligence

is a person who agrees with you.

A sure sign of intelligence is a person who agrees with you. Well, Colonel Douglas McGregor. He's a McGregor. Colonel Douglas McGregor, retired,

does not know me, and I do not know him, but he agrees with me. And we agree with each other on certain things. So we're going to hear from him, and we're going to hear from this dude named Tucker Carlson, who you probably don't know about because according to CNN

did you see that clip, Jared? It was like a month ago. They threw up some CNN idiot and he says, yes. I think that what we're seeing here is the demise of Tucker Carlson. And

people are done listening to him. He was commenting about him being fired from Fox. It's like people are done traffic that he gets now. No, people are done listening to him. We're all done. His career is over. He can't survive without Fox News. That's what we call. And part of that is people that I don't know about this gentleman specifically, but part of it is people that have cognitive bias that are trying to say that Twitter is only for conservatives now because Elon Musk runs it.

They're trying to destroy Twitter.

Yeah, they got an agenda. But before we get into our agenda, because we definitely have an agenda, before we get into our agenda, zach's going to play that funky music for all of you white boys and girls. Welcome to student of the Gun Radio planting freedom Seed since 2013.

Here, we don't just talk about guns and gear. We also discuss current events and politics because guns are politics. Now sit back, relax, and allow today's episode to drip ever so gently into your ear. Please welcome your co host, founder, mastermind media and consulting Group, jared Martin and the shipping ogre, Zach.

Now give it up to your beloved host, the Pimp Hand of America, professor Paul Markle.

Yes, indeed. That's who I am. That's what I do. And I was pimping it yesterday in the gym. And you know what I didn't do yet, Jared? I didn't even look at my critiques.

I got my feedback last night and I didn't look at it.

But that's all right. That's okay. We're going to beat you anyway. All right, so there is a Q and A if you're watching live right now on Discord. And and we do this just about every Tuesday morning on Discord. So you can get in there, you can. Ask questions if you want.

If you're not in the discord, you can do that. We will let you studentofthegun.com slash discord. But the other thing that I wanted to ask you before we get into the Brown Elves bullet points is, did you fill out the training survey?

I don't know. Did I get a training survey? Well, if you're on our mailing list, you did. We put out the boys, assembled a training survey and sent it out to you. Now, we warned you. I warned you last week. I said it was coming and we were going to ask for your opinion, and this is your opportunity.

If you don't want to give us your opinion, then don't. I don't care. But don't cry. I don't want to hear any crying in six months. Oh, I wish you would do this. I wish you would do that.

We gave you the opportunity,

and many of you did, many of you did. Many of you did fill out the training survey, and we do appreciate that. Do appreciate that. And we see it and we read it. We now every individual response. Yep. And some of you said, I live in East Pig fart Arkansas, and would you come and do a private class for me here?

And the answer is yes, but you better have disposable income because I'm not driving to East Pig fart Arkansas for free. That's not happening, homeboy. That's not happening. Oh, come on, man. I mean, come on.

Oh, South Park has just given us so many good things over the funny. I mean, I forgot about mean, come on. The crips and the bloods.

I mean, come on.

Do you remember the one where the motorcycle guys took over South Park? The people at the motorcycle guys? No. Yeah, I remember that one. Yeah. And the boys went on trial and they had to explain why they were calling them Fangs.

I saw that the other day as a clip, and they're just so classic. But I digress. And to digress, we're going to digress right into

Brownells Bullet Points, brought to you by our good [email protected].

It is time and it's well, what are we going into? We're going begin to the last big blowout

of the. Summer.

It's the holiday that officially ushers in the fall, and that is Labor Day. And what do we do on Labor Day? Well, if you own a furniture store or a mattress warehouse, if you own a mattress warehouse, I think it's the law that you have isn't it the law, Jared?

It's like a federal law or something like out that you have to hold a Labor Day sale? Absolutely. I think it is. I think if you are the furniture warehouse, if your local furniture warehouse does not have a Labor Day sale going on, I think they can be fined.

Pretty sure they can be fined.

You know, there's three people in the audience like, what is this guy talking about? That can't possibly be true. This doesn't communist Russia no, actually, Russia is more free than we are right now.

No, but what we're going to talk about today is if you pop over to Brownells.com, they got the Labor Day sale going on, and you're like, okay, cool story, bro. Well, it is a cool story, bro, and this is what I'm going to tell you. Brownells bundles, bing, bang, boom.

If you go down, you click on the M 16. Five, five, six bolt carrier group. Nitride MP. MP. Not military police.

Why is this important? Well, I'm going to tell you why it's important. Because if you are thinking, if you are considering

assembling, building, doing a Mr. Potato Head for adults AR 15 in the future,

what you want to get first is the bolt carrier group. Why is that, Paul? I think you're full of crap. I don't believe you. Well, I'm going to tell you why. Number one, because, well, it's always good to have an extra bolt carrier group. There's nothing wrong with that.

And number two,

these parts, they have to be heat treated. They have to be assembled. There's way more that goes into building assembling and putting together a bolt carrier group than does a lower receiver. Do I need to stress that to you guys? A lower receiver is just a block of aluminum that they cut out to be.

I mean, let's face facts. What have we learned over the last ten years? You can do it in your garage if you needed to. If you had a milling machine or even some skill with

a drill press. A bench press. A bench drill press. If you had some skill, you could make a lower receiver. Here's what you are not going to make in your garage. A bolt carrier group. Not going to happen. And. Back during the I remember this very specifically, very vividly.

Back during the great Comrade Barry Guns and Ammo Scare, I visited a black rifle manufacturer and they had a whole rack of guns, black rifles, AR style rifles. And he said, yeah, you see those guns right there? I said yes. He said, they're all done, with one exception. Said, what's that?

He said, we don't have bolt carrier groups for any of them. We're waiting. He said, they're all back ordered. I was like, oh, that's a thing. So there were literally rifles, dozens of rifles in the racks that couldn't ship because they didn't have bolt carrier groups for them.

And Brownells, they have a fantastic reputation for quality.

You can look up the specs. We're not going to talk about specs. One of the things that is the gas key is torqued and staked, because there is one piece on a bolt carrier group that can come loose if it's not put together right, and that is the carrier key.

So when you take your bolt carrier out of your AR and you look at the gas key, if you don't know what the gas key is, watch a YouTube video.

But those screws, the two mounting screws, they need to be staked. And what that means is that basically there's like these rough notches on them.

If you don't know what it means to stake a screw, I don't know, watch a YouTube video.

But they should be, because that is the only place

where something can come loose on a bolt carrier group. And also, obviously, that's very critical and you've got a lot of pressure that goes into that part of the bolt carrier group. A lot of gas. So what I would do if I was you, if I was hmm. I would like to build a black rifle sometime in the near future, but I don't have all the money for all the pieces and parts.

Where should I start, Paul? Should I buy a lower and then stash that?

You can if you want.

Dudes, the prices on strip lowers, are they're cray? Cray? We're back in that time frame again.

If you're on the mailing list of your favorite gun retailer, if you're on the mailing list of your favorite gun retailer, you're probably seeing

strip lowers back down into the 49, 99.

I know I am. I'm seeing them 599-99-4999. So that's. That's great. Remember in 2020, when strip lowers jumped up to $200 apiece? Jared I do, yeah. It was one of those things you're like, oh, man, wish I would have got one before this. Before that, they were like, $50, something like that.

Didn't they have a deal for one that was like $39 or something? Oh, yeah. Well, way back in the olden days when we were in Biloxi, I remember picking up an El generico basic strip lower from Cooks for 39 99.

Yes, indeed. You know what I found the other day?

I found a strip lower in a box, and then I remembered where I bought it. And so I actually just have a strip lower

that isn't a gun yet, but it could be. If I went to Brownells.com and bought a bolt carrier group and a bunch of other accessories, it could be its own rifle. So there you go. That is my advice to you. That is my advice, based upon experience, is that if you are thinking that sometime in the future you would like to assemble your very own AR 15, you can do that.

You're an american. You're allowed. But I would make sure that you've got the bolt carrier group first. Oh, and my other advice is don't fart around with these lightweight bolt carrier groups and the ones that have holes drilled in them and all kinds of crap. Just go with the standard weight.

Go with the standard configuration, because it's designed to work with a standard buffer and buffer spring. And when you start screwing with the weights,

going super lightweight and blah, blah, blah, and people tell me, oh, it reduces the locking time and stop. Stoner knew what he was doing. Calm down. You're not smarter than Stoner is. And that's how people end up with guns that don't run, is they think that they're smarter than Gene Stoner, and you're not.

So there you go. Oh, man. What is going on? What is going on at Highpoint firearms.org us. Gov? MOA

well, I know if you go to beoutdoorsafe gov that's funny. You might end up on onlinepokey.com.

But if you don't want to go to onlinepokey.com, you can go to Highpointfireararms.com and you can check out the new Y, C nine Y, because we like C nine

M-I-C see you real soon.

K-E-Y

because we like you.

M-O-U-S-E. Yes, indeed. Now, some of you out there. There are talking into your phone or your radio or whatever right now, and you're saying, hey, I went to my local guy, and he said that they had them, but they were sold out. This is why I say.

And then now, if you go to Highpoint Firearms.com, mouse them, you can go to they're Restocked. If you go to the bottom of the page, they have a list of their stocking dealers sportsman's, Outdoors, classic, firearms, vance outdoors,

and so on and so forth. And so you can just click the click

on there and find out who's got them in stock. For instance,

let me go to Classic. Classic's got them in stock. Yep. Classic has them in stock. And I think Guns.com has them in stock, too. Guns.com has them in stock, too. There you go. There you go. Now, you know no one is half the battle. It is. Hey, Zach, are you still with me, homeboy?

I am indeed here. What's up? What is new on Juksie.com? And I'm wearing my Jukesy.com t shirt today. Let me find that out for you. That is a great question, and I'm glad that you asked it juxie

it's two X is, not one. If you put just one X, you end up somewhere that you probably don't want to be.

Well, right now on Jukesy.com,

what's that going off? We don't have anything new in heaven for a minute here.

The last new thing was my review of the YC nine. Yeah, you can check out the YC Nine over on Jukesy.com. What do we have coming up? The detailed review? Are we allowed to talk about what we have coming up?

Yeah. Because we could talk about the transition stuff. Okay. Yeah, go ahead and talk about the transition thing. All right. So I was on the radio with my friend Bill Freddie, and we were talking about transitioning, and you're pretending you're a boy when you're a no, not not pretending you're a boy when you're a girl.

Like, actual

the most important transition that is going from a rifle that's either dead or just decided to stop making noise. So you've got a rifle, and it decided to stop making noise. You don't know why? Okay, I don't know why it stopped making noise, but it did.

But do you need to keep shooting, yes or no? Yeah, I do. So what do you do? Well, if you've got a fully functioning pistol on your side hide. You might want to grab that sucker up and start shooting. So we. We talked about that in detail, and we decided that since apparently there's a little bit of confusion out there in the world, apparently people don't understand

why that's important. We did a video, jared and Zachary and I, we went out a week ago Saturday and stood in the sun. It was hot as B-A-L-S out there on Saturday, but we did it. We went out there and we filmed for you guys. So we're going to be talking about that very soon, and we're going to have a video for you very soon.

Yeah, I was talking to Bill, and people are know after after you've gone through all your remedial action and then you know what that reminds me of? Jack or Jared? What that reminds me of? Exactly. Thank you. Thank you for being there with me. And I'm doing the mind meld thing.

Thank you for being there with me. It's the exact same thought process that we get with tourniquets.

It's the old tourniquet as a last resort after all other means have failed. So if someone has a massive hemorrhage, according to the old book, you're supposed to attempt direct pressure and elevate the wound. That's one of my favorite ones. Elevate the wound and find a pressure point.

And then after if that fails, then and only then put on a tourniquet. And that's when we have said, well, you just farted around for however long, and now that person is probably going to die because all that red blood just pumped out onto the ground while you were screwing around.

What you could have done is you could have acted immediately, put a tourniquet on and taken care of it. So same thing with transition. You say, well, it's probably only a type one failure to fire or whatever. Okay, but what if it's not? Well, if it's not, then you slap the magazine and rotate and observe the Ejection port, and then you tap the forward assist.

And then

if that doesn't work, then after you've tried all of that, then go to your handgun.

No, because you're already dead. What do you mean I'm already dead? What are you talking about? What do you think?

Are we playing a game? Are we on the range? Are we practicing to play games? Are we practicing to save our lives with firearms? Which is it?

If you're out there and you're like, oh, I'm practicing to play a game, cool. If you're practicing to play a game. Am just rock on. Because if you're in the middle of a game and your gun stops working and you just stare at it like a hog looking at a wristwatch, then no harm, no foul, nobody's going to die.

But if you actually are serious about it and you're thinking, no, I'm actually training to prepare to save my own life or the life of someone else. All right, what do you suppose the bad person is doing while you're staring at your rifle like a hog looking at a wristwatch?

Are they just in a training timeout? Like, okay, hey, let me know when your gun's back up and ready. All right, I'll just stand here. I'll check my TikTok account while you fix your rifle. And then when your rifle's fixed, let me we'll all right. Time back in.

This isn't the playground. Although, Jared, do kids even know what that is anymore? What TikTok? Time out. Time back in.

Oh, I don't know. That's a good question. On the playground, when you guys were on the playground when I was a know and you're playing a game or whatever, and anybody could yell Time out, and you had to stop, and then they would tie their shoe or whatever, and they're like, Time back in.

So my point with transitioning is this. You don't get a timeout.

The bad guy is not just going to stand there while you tie your shoe. So while you're not shooting at them, what are they doing? Well, I don't know. Yeah, exactly. There you go. All right, so if you're a new listener, and I know many of you are, go ahead and close that hole under your nose, open up both your ears and listen louder.

All right?

We should have, I don't know, two, three years ago, come up with a dedicated bear attack theme. Of course, like, a few years ago, we probably would have thought, we're not going to use it that often.

We won't use it often enough that it would be worthwhile,

but apparently that is not true. Yes. We've got another story, another black bear attack. And this one our homeboy. Dean Weingarden. He's on this. And you know what's funny? Jared

is bear guy. I almost always open for him. I always tease Bill. Bill does 3 hours of radio a day, right? And so he is frequent.

He'll he'll interview me, and he'll be like, all right. And coming up in the next hour, dean Weingarten, ammo lands. Dean Weingarten.

And I teased Bill. I'm like, am I his opening act? What is going he's no, you're not always the opening act. I was the opening act for the most recent show, though. I was our number one. But, yeah, we got a story here from and it's a brand new story.

You're like, oh, this is old. This happened a long time ago. No, this was reported the story was reported on August 20. Eigth. The initial incident happened on August 25. And we've got the details for you 2023. For those of you in the future. Yeah, for the future, people.

2023. A black bear attack stopped with a. 38 caliber handgun. On August 25, 2023, near Kingston, Massachusetts, a bear attack was stopped with a pistol. The bear started by attacking a goat. Must been hungry.

Bear attacks against animals that depend on people for their protection are much more common than direct attacks against people.

From Kingston police on Facebook, they say shortly before 03:00 P.m. This afternoon, KPD responded to Hawthorne Road for a report of a black bear attacking a resident's livestock goat. Initial investigation appears to reveal the following

upon the bear attacking the resident's goat, the resident attempted to scare the bear away. The bear postured up towards the resident, and the resident reported that he was in fear of being attacked. The resident then shot the bear with his lawfully owned firearm. Glad that they pointed that out.

At that time, the bear fled into the woodline. Upon police arriving, we were UN able to locate the bear. KPD contacted the Massachusetts Environmental Police, who are. Conducting an investigation and have been unable to locate the bear as of this time.

So the bear was a type two attacker.

That's funny. I never thought that would apply to animals, but I guess humans are animals, but you know what I mean. Well, it was like, ow,

that hurt. I got to go somewhere else now. I should fornicate into a different direction. That's pretty funny. If you're listening and you don't know the three types of attackers, it's in the Armed Living DVD. You can go to armedlivingdvd.com and pick that up.

And then to continue the story, this correspondent made contact with the Kingston police. Pio who communicated the firearm was used was a. 38 caliber handgun. In an update, NBC Boston reported that the man had fired warning shots in an attempt to scare the bear away from the goat. The bear became threatening instead of fleeing, and he shot the bear.

What if you a don't shoot warning shots. Don't fire warning shots. Tell anybody.

Why would you tell a news station? Because you're an idiot. Because you don't have training. Yeah, that's fair. Because seem like a bad guy. Yeah, that's it in the movie. Because they always fire warning shots. People who have no training

think that shooting warning shots makes them look like it makes them look better.

Hold on a second. The man said that he was afraid of being attacked, so he shot the bear in the leg, and it fled into the woods.

Wildlife officials say the injury is minor, and local police say that the resident does own the gun lawfully. Well, thank you. And Massachusetts Environmental Police have been looking for the bear since the incident yesterday, but they have not found whoa, whoa, whoa. So wildlife officials say the injury is minor.

Do they have the bear in custody? No. And how do they know? They just shot him in the leg. Just to stop in the leg.

This homeboy needs some training. On September 30, 2022, near Middleton, Massachusetts, the owner of two goats was not as vigilant. Both goats were killed by the black bear. When the bear returned the next day and began killing chickens, the bear was shot and killed. So he's like, man, you can have my goats, but you ain't getting my chickens.

An animal told me once reported it

reported that it was likely the same bear that had been killing chickens at several locations in the area. How would that be for a wake up? You're like, My chickens are going crazy. You come out and there's a bear eating your chickens. You're thinking, like, oh, that's probably like a fox or maybe like, a raccoon or something is messing with my chickens.

You go out there and there's a freaking black bear.

This is. From Eagletribian.com. I had an email from the Andover animal control officer two days ago and she was reporting several instances of the bear getting into chickens on the west side of Harold Parker. Some of those incidents were spread out over 3 miles, but that's easily a distance a bear can travel.

Bears have been bad neighbors for as long as history has been recorded. In the Bible, the sheep herder, david was reported to have killed a bear that was attacking his sheep. It is much less risky to shoot a bear with a handgun than it is to kill it with a slinging club.

I like how they have to throw in. He was reported to have reported to have it was reported in the book of Samuel. It was reported in the book of Samuel that David said unto Saul, thy servant kept his father's sheep. Then there came a lion and a bear and he smote.

Well, what do we know about David and his sling skills?

He was pretty on point. He had no training whatsoever. David was on point with the sling. Can you imagine, though, a shepherd sling like there's a bear?

All right.

Whammo. I wonder if it

but all right, Zachary, I'm going to go throw this over to you. This is going to be just a blatant non apologetic one right here. Go ahead. So if people were in the audience, they're like, I would like to be a badass slinger like David was, but I don't have the opportunity to do that because that no longer exists.

Is that true? No, it is not true that that no longer exists because right now on shopsotg.com, you can get yourself a shepherd survivor sling. Or if you want to get really serious, you can get yourself a goliath sling, which is twice as long and powerful, which is kind of tongue in cheek.

Yeah, but I don't want the loser sling. Yeah, I don't want the sling that the loser has.

And to go along with your sling, we also have sling bullets which have fun little designs and they are dense little buggers. So you sling one of those at somebody and they will notice not a body, but at a bear. I don't encourage you to do that. I'm just saying hypothetically, we don't encourage you.

What's the difference between the survivor sling and the goliath survivor sling? The survivor sling is just standard paracord, but the goliath sling is made out of Apocalypse cord. Oh, nice. Basically a little thicker. They're a lot stronger and sturdier. And so you could and put a bowling ball on that thing and sling it and they'd probably go and I think the apocalypse cord has like.

Fire starter thing in the center of it as well.

What, like some of the internals? Or is it kevlar?

It's a good balloon string.

That's right. Serious balloon string.

If you know, you know. I y IK

hashtag. But getting back to the bear story,

there are a lot of lessons that could be learned here. Lesson number one, don't fire warning shots.

Warning shots are bullets that are just flying through the atmosphere looking for a baby carriage or a nun. All right?

You've got to be responsible for everything, every round that you launch. And we can't just launch well, I mean, you can if you're an imbecile. If you're an imbecile, you point guns in the air and launch bullets in the air. But if you're not an imbecile and not only that, but I'm assuming that if this was a 38 caliber handgun, which actually it's not zach, can you tell me why I know that it's not a 38 caliber handgun?

Because that is not a thing. Well, all right. Caliber is the dimension is the cross dimension the diameter of the projectile, correct? Yes. And

it could be a 38 Special

chambered gun. It could be a gun that is chambered in 38 Special. Yes. But the projectile is zero point 37 in diameter. Nice. Yes.

But whatever. That's just minutiae that's minutiae that I wouldn't expect the NBC News, Boston to understand,

let's just say. So he's using a 38 Special. So it either had, I'm guessing, five or six rounds total in the cylinder. Yes, I understand they make seven shot ones, and they used to make taurus made an eight shot 38 back in the day. But let's just say it's a six shooter.

Right. So you start out with six shots of 38 Special, which is not an exceptionally powerful gun, despite what you were taught in the movie Taxi Driver.

I watched a clip from Taxi Driver yesterday, and when he goes to buy a gun,

the guy tells him that this is a 38 snub nose. This will put down any. Man you run into.

Yeah. So it's not an overly powerful caliber to begin with, right? The 38, Smith and Wesson or the 38 Special.

I wouldn't recommend wasting shots by firing them into the air.

What if the bear is like, RA, I'm going to eat you now. And now you have one, two shots left. And the bear obviously the bear wasn't killed. This guy was lucky that the bear was a type two attacker, not a so he definitely wasn't a type one. Because if he was a type one, what do we know, Zach?

The guy would be dead. No, if he was a type one attacker, if the bear was a type one, when the guy pulled out the gun and fired the warning shot, the bear would have run off. True. That is true. Right? And if he was a type three see, if the bear was a type three attacker, this dude would be dead.

They would be reporting man killed by bear while defending goats. That's what the headline would have been. Yeah, man was defending goats. A local resident was defending his goats from a bear attack when the bear turned on him and he fired a half empty gun into the bear, and the bear continued to attack and kill him.

You're like, yeah, but a bear wouldn't do that. If you shoot a gun at a bear, it'll run away. Sometimes

it won't. Sometimes it'll just keep trying to kill you.

You don't know. That's the point. The point is you don't know.

So, ladies and gentlemen yes,

have a gun. Have a gun available on you all the time. Do not fire warning shots. Do not fire warning shots. What's wrong with that?

And then I shot him in the leg. This dude needs some serious training.

First he fired warning shots, and then he admitted that he shot to wound.

You know, when you admit it wasn't a human, you admit, yeah, no kidding. Or this could be going to prison. Because when you admit that you shot to wound, what you're admitting is that you were not in fear for your life. Because if you are in fear for your life,

you're perfectly

legal. It is legal, it is lawful and is moral for you to put bullets into the center mass of an attacker. Yeah, it's just that whole

you ever read a story and it makes makes your head hurt?

Well, that's one of them right there.

Right. But, yeah, that's another one for Mr. Pogue.

You're more likely to hurt yourself with a gun than you ever are to need one to defend against animal attacks. And I'm waiting for the Bambi lovers to come out and say, well,

you shouldn't be where the bears live. You shouldn't be in their home. He wasn't in their home. He was in his home. The bear came and was going to kill his livestock. Well,

you need to put your livestock in bear proof containers.

Maybe the people who lost their chickens, that's what they screwed up. Jared,

they didn't put their chickens in bear proof containers. Yeah, the bear smelled the chickens. If they would have put the chickens in a bear proof container, they wouldn't have smelled the chickens, and then that we wouldn't have that problem. It's actually their fault for having chickens. It's this guy's fault for owning goats.

You shouldn't have done it.

Proper food storage. Yeah, that's improper food storage.

How can you support student of the Gun? And how can you support people who support us? Well, thank you for asking, and Jared's going to answer that question for you right now. It's extremely simple. Studentofthegun.com slash culture. Go there. And there's a bunch of information on who supports us, how you can support them, and then by supporting them, that supports us.

Yes. Studentofthegun comculture.

Yes. Go there. Do that. Quit being a lazy slug and support people that support us. You want to keep listening to this show for free? You do, because it costs you nothing to listen to this show. Support the people that support us. All right. Speaking of supporting stuff and athletic supporters and so on and so forth, zach, what do you got to say?

Well, brown elves and your local furniture store are not the only ones holding Labor Day sales. Because right now on shopsotg.com, you can go get yourself one of our amazing medical kits, a Rapid tourniquet, a beyond the Boobu Book. Pretty much anything you would need to help stop a life saving injury and learn how to do so.

Life threatening injury? What did I say? Life saving injury. That's okay. You know what I meant. If you got a life saving injury, then I guess that's good. Just throwing in some subliminal messaging there. Exactly. Because it's a life saver anyway, over on Shopostratesia.com, a bunch of our medical stuff is on sale right now, including the critically acclaimed beyond the Boo Boo Book.

So you head over [email protected] right now through. Next Wednesday you will be able to get in, and that is our Labor Day sale. And you'll be able to get in on that. And yay, and you can save 5% off on all mattresses when you shop. Yeah, the student of the gun Labor Day sale.

Yeah.

All right. Lies and more lies. Now, ladies and gentlemen, we've been reminding you for quite some time now

that the media is not to be trusted. Come on, man, it's not like there's one organization that is feeding them their talking points.

Well, listen to this. We've got this one. I wanted to remind you of

when the world leaders,

the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Canada and Victoria and, and when they all came out and told you,

go participate in this untested medical experiment,

take the poison shot, it won't hurt. As a matter of fact, it'll save you and you'll never, ever get sick. Okay?

Listen to their own words.

Come on, man. Can you get COVID if you have these vaccinations? Hey, folks, guess you heard this morning I tested positive for COVID. And when people are vaccinated, they can feel safe that they are not going to get infected. Dr. Fauci says he has COVID. Again, if you've done the right thing and gotten vaccinated, you deserve the freedom to be safe from COVID-19.

And this morning I learned I tested positive for COVID-19 as well, with three doses that could be prevented not just from serious illness, but from getting this virus, this omacron variant, and therefore giving it to others. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is in quarantine for seven days after testing positive COVID.

So I'm fully vaccinated. It gives me some comfort. Anthony Albanese has just tested positive for coronavirus, having received two doses of AstraZeneca. It's a very effective vaccine, protection from symptomatic illness and therefore risk of transmission to others. You're okay. You're not going to get yeah, you're okay. You're not going to get it.

All right, folks, I guess you heard lies. Lies. All right, Jared, Zachary,

did we make any of this up? Where did all these audio clips come from?

Video audio clips? They all came from news stories? Yeah, various different fox, C Span, CNN, all that stuff. Now somebody had to take those. They had. To take them, find them, and put them into a compilation. They didn't all happen in sequence like that, but the information is available to every human on planet Earth.

Every human on planet Earth could compare that information. On February 19, 2021, fauci goes out and says, take the shot. You won't get sick. You won't pass it on to anybody else. Take the shot. And then seven months later, I guess, yeah, I had it. I tested positive.

Well,

didn't you look in the camera and say, get the shot, you won't get sick?

So there's two possibilities. Either you didn't take the shot, didn't do what you tell other people to do, or the shot doesn't work. Yeah. So there's one or two possibilities. Either you're a liar or you're a liar.

And I'm telling you that all of these world leaders did not take these experimental shots.

They took saline in front of the cameras when they went. First of all, you'd be a complete and total imbecile to take a vaccine, any kind of shot, live on camera. Are you saying that they're not imbeciles?

Well,

I'm telling you that they're liars. I'm telling you they're evil. But any any vaccination shot, doesn't matter what it is,

they monitor you, or at least they used to back in the old days before we lost our ever loving minds.

When you'd go to

whatever, the clinic or the doctor's office or whatever, they would give you the shot, and then they would sit you down in a chair and monitor you. Why would they do that thing for fun?

No. They do that because they know that there are people that have reactions to any shot, right? COVID or not, any external medicine has a potential to do that to people, right? And so if you have a world leader live on camera

and you're going to risk an adverse reaction, you're going to risk the whole world seeing that live. No, you're not. There is no possible way that you're going to risk that. No, didn't you hear them? They said there are no adverse reactions. Is completely safe. Yeah, that's right. The COVID shot is the only shot in the history of mankind to not have.

You're going to risk your.

Your prime minister or your president or whatever having a reaction to the shot live on camera. No, you're not. And they also know that this crap is poison. I'm telling you, every one of these scumbags took a saline shot. Every single one that did it in public.

And first of all, how sick and twisted and what kind of a mind rape where your freaking president is taking off this shirt in front of the camera to get a shot? First of all, I don't want to see that. And second of all, the level of propaganda there is amazing.

Now, moving on, you guys are like, yeah, Paul, I already heard that. I already know that. I already know they're ah

have you heard this one? See, this is something that was actually new to me, because I will tell you this. During the whole

not, I don't and I did not watch any network television. I don't watch news programs, fox or otherwise. I don't watch Fox. I don't watch CNN, NBC, right? So what you're about to hear was new to me, because I didn't and don't listen to any of this crap but this.

Remember when we did the montage that someone did yeoman's work of literally hundreds of local

channel four Boston on your side,

them reading the verbiage from the same script. If you don't believe that your local news and your national news if you don't believe the media is given marching orders, is given a script and told this is what you say,

they're not independent fact checkers. They're not out there reporting the truth. No,

they're propagandists. Listen to this,

please.

No one's safe till everyone's safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe.

No one is safe. Nobody is safe. This is a post 911 axiom. Safer, but not yet safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe from COVID-19 until everyone is safe. If the whole world isn't safe. None of us are safe.

Is safe. No one is safe. Nobody is safe until we're all safe. Health experts have been saying nobody is safe. Nobody is safe until everybody is safe. The science is clear. None of us are safe. There is no safety. No one is safe. No one is safe. I want to say no one is safe until everyone is safe.

No one safe. Nobody is safe. Nobody say no one's safe. Will never be safe until we're all safe. We are never going to be safe. 99.5% of people are safe and will survive COVID-19. The only positive thing out of this. Is we should be able to manufacture a lot of vaccines and nobody will be safe.

If not everybody is vaccinated. You don't have a choice. As long as not everybody is vaccinated, nobody will be safe. Normalcy only returns when we've largely vaccinated the entire global population. So get the vaccine you need to get vaccinated. And if you don't, you are going to die. I know you're vaccinated.

You're the smart at once. But you know there's people out there who aren't listening to God and what God wants. You know who they are? The unvaccinated people. My message to unvaccinated Americans is this if you are the unvaccinated, you are the problem. You're the. And we want to make sure that everyone understands that no one's

yeah. So if you don't get vaccinated, you're going to die.

I guess I must be dead.

Am I dead?

Hello? Are you guys I don't think you are. I don't think I can tell.

Wow. Yeah. So I wanted to remind you guys of that. No one is safe until we're all safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe. No one is safe until we're all safe. And what makes us all safe? Take the poison shot.

Yeah, but

we just had a montage of six, seven world leaders who all said, go get the shot. You won't get sick. And then all said, oh, yeah, I tested positive.

So were you lying to me then or are you lying to me now?

Oh, both times. Okay, cool.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's a freaking lie. And the idea that there are still human beings out there walking around on planet Earth that don't see this lie, that don't realize this entire thing was orchestrated and what nobody is saying and what none of these scumbags that are pushing the poison shot were saying is where did COVID-19 SARS CV 19?

Where did it come from? From where did it originate?

Wet market.

When wuhan was an accident, people were eating undercooked bat soup.

No, they weren't. And you know that wasn't the case, and you know that's a lie.

And when are we going to punish the people who created this virus? And why is the United States of America in the business of creating viruses?

Why aren't we in the biological warfare business? Why do we have laboratories designed? Because

they use those laboratories to do research so they could come up with cures. Cures for what?

I don't know, but I'm sure there's something

they haven't cured. ALS. Well, that's not fair. They haven't cured cancer. Well, that's not fair. What are they curing in these biological warfare labs?

So doing a spending money for a what did Fauci call it? I always have that mental block.

Gain of function research. Gain of function? Yeah. So when they're gain of function researching,

what are they curing? Would you call it? Gaining of function? Yeah. Gain of function. When they're gaining the function, yeah. They're creating biological weapons to use against mankind in violation of numerous treaties.

Our government is run by war criminals. Do you understand that? That's not true, guy, you can't say that. Yes, I can, because we have the evidence.

Our government is run by war criminals.

They took your money, your tax money, and spent it on biological warfare.

They created a supervirus. They released it on the world and used it to control you,

and they're going to try and do it again. You know why they're going to try and do it again, Jared? Why are they going to try and do it again?

Because they didn't get enough pushback. I guess they got away with it the first time.

Who? In government? All those guys that went out and looked into the camera and lied directly to their people. They lied to the Canadian people. They lied to the New Zealanders, they lied to the Australians, they lied to the Brits, they lied to the Americans. All of those people that stood in front of cameras looked out at the world and lied.

None of them have been held accountable for their lies. None. So why wouldn't they do it again? They got away with it. They poisoned the world and got away with it.

So why not it's? Like when you're you know, it's no different than a child who throws a tantrum or steals cookies or whatever. If they get away with it, they're going to do it again. They're like, well, that was easy.

Next time I feel like it, I'm just going to do that again. Nobody's going to stop me. Why should I?

So despite the pundits CNN saying that Tucker Carlson's career is over and that no one is going to listen to him ever again,

people actually are listening. And he has more freedom now than he ever had. And he brought on as a guest on his show a retired US. Army. Colonel Douglas McGregor. And Doug McGregor was he and I chewed some of the same ground together. Doug McGregor was over in Desert War part one.

And oh, interestingly enough, Zach, when we were looking at the Desert Storm memorial, you said what did you say? Would you comment? I didn't realize it only lasted, like, nine months. No, you said two months. Oh, was it two months? Remember? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, because the plaque says January to March, right?

Well, that's because the whole lead up time wasn't called Storm. They were workshopping the title in the background. And the original title of Desert War. Part One was desert Shield. Right? It was Desert Shield. We were providing a shield in the desert, and that started in August of 1990, and then

we started the Air war in January, and then we did the Ground War, which was 100 hours ground War

then that was called Desert Storm.

But yeah, Doug McGregor was he was there. He and I were in the same place at the same time, relatively. We were in that adventure, that global adventure over in the desert. And it was interesting. Also, Jared,

we were at the museum with the war memorials, and they had a war memorial for World War I that was erected in 1924 by the people of Winta County. And it said, in honor of the service and sacrifice of those who served in the Great War.

No, it didn't say the Great War.

I took a picture of the plaque because it was interesting to me,

and it says, this is all right.

This tablet is dedicated to those who made the supreme sacrifice for their country in the World War. Monument was erected by the people in 1924. So when they put that up, they didn't know there was a sequel coming. That's right. That was the world war. They didn't they didn't put a one behind it.

The one didn't come till later.

What are we going to call this next war that we get into? Jared? What are we going to call that? World War Three. The World War Three? Yeah. It might be World War Three. We don't want it to be World War Three, but I want you to listen to this.

So Zach's going to go ahead and play it. It's a 50 minutes interview. We're not going to play the whole thing, obviously, but I want you to listen to the take of this guy and

ask yourself, why isn't every well, obviously, why isn't every media outlet covering this? Because they weren't told to. But, yeah, go ahead and just open it up and I'll let you know when to stop. Zach or take a break.

Pretty much everything that NBC News, the New York Times have told you about the war in Ukraine is a lie. The Russian army is incompetent. They claim Ukraine is a democracy. Vladimir Putin is Hitler, and he's trying to take over the world. Thankfully, the Ukrainians are winning. None of that is true.

Every claim is false. The last one, especially the Ukrainian army, is not winning. In fact, it's losing badly. Ukraine is being destroyed. Its population is being slaughtered in lopsided battles with a technologically superior enemy or scattered by the millions to the rest of the globe as refugees. Ukraine is running out of soldiers.

As that happens, the question will inevitably arise who's going to replace them? If the Ukrainians can't beat Putin, who will? The answer, of course, will be us. American troops will fight the Russian army in Eastern Europe. That's most likely. And the assumption is we'll win. But will we win?

Probably not, says former Army Colonel Douglas McGregor, a decorated combat veteran who advised the Secretary of Defense in the last administration. The US, says McGregor, is on the brink of a catastrophic war that could very easily destroy us. Few Americans seem to understand that, but they should. Doug McGregor is now the CEO of Our Country, Our Choice, and we sat down with him recently.

This conversation is worth hearing. Doug McGregor, thanks for joining us. How would you assess and describe the state of the war in Ukraine right now?

That's an important question and not enough people have good answers at this point. I think all of the lies that have been told for more than a year and a half about the Ukrainians or. Winning. The Ukrainian cause is just. The Russians are evil. The Russians are incompetent. All of that is collapsing.

And it's collapsing because what's happening on the battlefield is horrific. Ukrainians now, we think, have lost 400,000 men killed in battle. We were talking about 300, 350,000 a few months ago. Within the last month of this supposed counterfeit, which was to sweep the battlefield, they lost at least 40,000 killed.

We don't even know how many people have been wounded, but we know that probably upwards of 40 to 50,000 soldiers are amputees. We know the hospitals are full, and we know that Ukrainian units at the platoon and company level, that's with anywhere from 50 to 150 to 200 men are in piecemeal fashion, surrendering to the Russians.

Not because they don't want to fight. It's because they can't fight anymore. They had so many wounded, they can't evacuate them. And commanders are saying, well, if I can't evacuate my wounded, I'm going to surrender, because otherwise the wounded will die. And so they call the Russians. They all speak Russian and tell them on the radio, look, I've got 50, 60 wounded here.

I'm going to surrender because I don't want them to be killed. And the Russians, from the very beginning, have always treated the Ukrainian soldiers very fairly and very gently. And so they know they're not going to be abused or mistreated. They know they can actually be exchanged for Russian prisoners in the future.

So they're surrendered. And I think we're going to see this army that we've been spending so heavily on increasingly melt away. And at the same time as we're talking, if you look at this long, banana shaped strip of territory in southern Ukraine that the Russians control, if you go to the northeastern corner of that south of this city called Kharkiv, there are major offensive operations taking place there right now, and Ukrainian forces are being swept away in front of the Russians.

And again,

all of this happens in a way that is just not reported in the west. And in the meantime, rather than admit that this is a terrible tragedy that should be ended on humanitarian grounds, if no other, that the killing should stop, as President Trump said, Stop the killing. We're going to continue.

And this puts the Russians in the unhappy position of marching further west, because from the very beginning, putin and his advisors were never interested in a war with NATO or the United States. That's why you've had such incrementalism, the slow grind of movement, forward defensive operations for a long period to build up the force, and then continued offensive operations.

They have over 300,000 combat troops in reserve in Russia, and I think they're sitting there and not being released to fight, because President Putin anticipates the possibility that we will intervene in western Ukraine, and if we intervene in Western. Ukraine to Russia. Pause it. So, you guys remember over a year ago over a year ago, we found the interview or actually,

it was a lesson. It was a speech. I don't know if you call it a speech, but from that professor at the University of Illinois, and it was done right after the Russians took Crimea in 2014. And I think he was recorded in what, 2015, Jared?

I can't remember. It was about 2015, but in that it was a 45 minutes long YouTube video. We played segments of it. We told you guys, this is over a year ago. We said, you need to go listen to this.

It was before biden's. Crap.

But the professor, he broke it down and he explained it. Remember, it was the whole thing about all the world leaders think of themselves as 21st century men, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And he said, Putin is not he's a 19th century man. And he will never one of the big things he said, Putin will never allow NATO

to take control of the Ukraine. He said, look, he will burn that country to the ground before he allows NATO to take it over, right? To move missiles in there or what have you.

And the question we had for you guys is like, all right, if this information is out there and it's been out there since 2015, why is no one in the United States government or in NATO in Europe paying attention or paying heed to this?

Why are they acting as though that information didn't even exist?

And what Doug McGregor is saying right here, he said he goes, we need to end this.

We need to come to the table, even if we don't get what we want. And the question that we need to ask ourselves is why is the United States have our noses in this at all? The Ukraine is not a NATO ally.

We have no legal requirement

to run to their aid and give them billions of dollars, which we've done, which we've laundered. Can we all just admit that this whole Ukraine thing is a massive money laundering scheme on a world level scale?

What is our national interest in getting the United States involved in Ukraine? And.

Why did we push this war? What do you mean? We didn't push it. The hell we didn't.

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that the Russians captured United States of America run and operated biological warfare laboratories in the Ukraine

nine months ago, ten months ago, twelve months ago?

The State Department said it was a lie. That's just Russian propaganda. And then the Russians said, really? Because here are the photographs. Here's the video of the labs that we captured. And then they had to come out and,

oh, okay, the labs were there,

but what

why are there biological warfare laboratories run by the United States in the Ukraine?

Do you think a neighbor of the Ukraine might be concerned that their biological warfare laboratories being run in their country right next to them

by an opposing

United States, the criminal government of the United States of America, rather than looking for a way to achieve peace or to stop the killing, doesn't seem concerned at all. It's almost like they're pushing it, like they're provoking it.

Zach, go ahead and pick up, because before we cut out, I want to get his take on the readiness of the US military

combat troops in reserve in Russia. And I think they're sitting there and not being released to fight because President Putin anticipates the possibility that we will intervene in western Ukraine. And if we intervene in western Ukraine, the Russians will be ready for that. And the consequences for us and for NATO will be devastating because we are not ready to fight the Russians.

Why? Oh, I think the readiness has been on the decline for a long time. You've had an almost steady, uninterrupted decline in the discipline that makes soldiers fight. Discipline is a tough thing. We don't always understand it. Discipline is really a form of habit, and you build those habits over time through repetition, but you also build it under stress, under pressure, so that it sinks in.

And then you build cohesion within the framework of those units. You don't build cohesion when you're dividing the force on racial grounds, when you're pushing people who are clearly, UN qualified up the ranks to command, when. Hoarding people for anything other than demonstrated character, competence, and intelligence. All of those things are demoralizing destructive to military establishments.

The army and the marines are suffering with it. So is the air force and the Navy. And there's no easy fix. And these cracks that are just cracks at the moment will become giant fissures if you go to war. So you spent the bulk of your adult white officer went to West Point.

Boys, what have I been telling you for years about the state of the US. Army? About the state of the United States military?

It's declining. Yeah,

it started during Obama. Well, actually, it started during Clinton. Bill Clinton. William Jefferson Blythe. Clinton decided that he was going to begin the purposeful deliberate destruction of the US. Military.

He started it by putting women on combat ships, by forcing women into combat units. And you're like, oh, come on, man, that doesn't mean shut up,

shut up.

These things don't happen overnight. What did he just say? It doesn't happen overnight. It's been an incremental destruction of the military. The military is not General Motors. The military is not Amazon. The military is not a corporation where you're like, well, everyone on the corporate team counts, and we're going to have a pizza party and let everybody know that everyone is equal and everything is fair and mama, mama, it's not a game.

It's the most serious undertaking you can ever participate in. Well, if you're in combat arms,

I had this conversation 25, maybe 30 years ago

with a woman who said she was like, about talking about because it was during the Clinton administration and they were going to start putting women into combat units. And she said

women need to be allowed to given the opportunity to try.

And I wasn't as tactful as then as I am today. And I said, what is try?

This is not a game.

You don't get to try.

What does that even mean? Well, let them try and see if it's a good. It. And then if they want to do it and it's like, no, you don't try. This is not a game.

The job of the military, as Rush Limbaugh put it so succinctly for 30 years, is to kill people and break stuff.

There's a lot of different ways we do that. We do it with missiles and bombs and rifles and artillery and mortars and all kinds of stuff. But the basic function of your military is to kill people and break stuff. And you're supposed to do it so well and be so skilled at doing those two things that anyone who would be your enemy, who would think, man, I'm going to go.

I'm going to attack that country, and then someone says, you better not. Because you know why? Because their army is really good at killing people and breaking stuff, not handing out pillows, not giving people meals, not digging wells in villages. That's Peace Corps stuff. Okay? That's what the Peace Corps for, handing out the pillows and the hot meals and the digging the well for the local village.

That's a Peace Corps. You want to dig wells, go join the Peace Corps.

The military is not designed for that. And what McGregor said, I've witnessed the destruction of the core foundational level of the United States military,

an introduction of political correctness, and wokeness like no one has ever seen.

And so what did you have? What do you have? What have we experienced for going on 20 years now or more?

A gutting of the NCO and officer Corps. All of the intelligent, self starters, motivated, moral people have said, you know what? Fornicate this crap, I don't need it. I'm out of here. I don't need this crap. I don't need this garbage.

I'm gone. Bye. And who's left behind new people that don't know shite from shinola and pensioners, people who will do the least amount of work possible in order to get a paycheck. Got them good army, Benny's man. Got them good government, Bennies. I'll do whatever they tell me to do.

I'll just skate, do the least amount of work possible, don't make any waves.

And all of them are overseen by magicians,

people with stars on their collars. Who are all politicians.

Now, like I said, this interview with Colonel McGregor, with Chuck Carlson, it's a 50 minutes interview.

The direct link is in the show notes.

You need to listen to it. Do yourself a favor.

If you listen to it and you come away at the end saying, nah, I don't believe any of that crap, everything's fine.
