SOTG 178 – Beware the Stepfod Moms

Nanny Bloomberg’s paid call-girls, “Mom’s Demand More Bedroom Action”, took to the floor of the Texas State Senate to read from a script like the good little robots that they are.

We have an excellent example of an Armed Citizen in our Go Team Moment from Atlanta, Georgia. And, Professor Paul is excited to offer a new recommended reading selection, Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein.

From www.breitbart.com:

Women from Moms Demand Action, an anti-gun organization funded by Michael Bloomberg, lined up at the Texas Capitol this week to hypnotize legislators by reading from a prepared script. These women dutifully read the same script over, and over, and over, ad nauseam.

C.J. Grisham, president and founder of Open Carry Texas (OCT), created a video of what other open-carry proponents referred to as a “circus.”

The anti-gun activists gathered in Austin to “testify” against the open-carry bill, H.B. 910. Testimony was being taken before the Texas Senate State Affairs committee in the Capitol Senate Chamber.

“They had a printed form with a fill-in-the-blank for their name.” Richard Briscoe, Legislative Director for OCT, told Breitbart Texas. “I had to contain my laughter when I could see that they had actually handwritten-in their name.”

Breitbart Texas reported that leaders from Texas Carry and OCT told their members not to “belabor the process” by signing up to testify at the committee hearing. The leaders of both groups told their members they could come to the Senate Committee hearing, but asked them to fill out cards to record their support of the bill.

“We wanted to minimize the pain of the senate committee because they already had to listen to the ‘Bloomberg cult,’” Terry Holcomb, Executive Director of Texas Carry, told Breitbart Texas.

He said “It’s sad really. They are conditioned not to think for themselves. They have become so irrelevant that they are given a script by the Bloomberg heads and told to just read it.”

Holcomb also referred to these women as “sock puppets.”

Both Grisham and Holcomb testified before the committee, but as Briscoe explained to Breitbart Texas, “The committee had pretty much heard everything that needed to be said, so he limited his remarks.”

Briscoe said there had already been hearings before committees in the Texas Senate and House very early in the session.

Holcomb said the women were “very disrespectful to the committee, and appeared just to want to poke them.”

At one point, open-carry proponents had to work hard to refrain from laughing at the women.

The Texas Carry E.D. said, “At one point [it was so bad], I actually felt sorry for them.”

Holcomb called the Chair of the State Affairs Committee, Senator Joan Huffman (R-Houston), “very, very, gracious.” The Senator was very patient during the long hours of testimony.

When Breitbart Texas asked the Legislative Director for OCT why these women would want to embarrass themselves, and women as a whole, by simply reading from the same script, he replied, “If you find out, please let me know.”

“In all honesty, I think it is just to delay the proceedings,” he added.

Open-carry proponents are concerned about whether there is enough time this session to get the bill passed.

Moms Demand Action is run by former Monsanto Director of Corporate and Public Affairs Shannon Troughton. She is accused by Lone Star Gun Rights of “hid[ing] her identity by hiding under the name Shannon Watts.” He states that “The sloppy tactics expose MDA daily of being a fraud that seems to fit in-line with Eric Holders’ statement about a need to brainwash the American public about firearms.”

Lone Star Gun Rights has filmed Moms Demand Action leaders giving college students scripts and telling them to wear their college t-shirts when testifying against campus carry.

Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, is listed by Forbes Magazine as ranking #14 in the world for billionaires ($37.4 billion). Besides owning a financial news organization, he is a founder of Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Open Carry leaders say he funds the activities of Moms Demand Action in America and in Texas.

Alice Tripp from the Texas State Rifle Association told Breitbart Texas that Moms Demand Action “apparently are a politically-motivated organization that appeared for the first time to be attached to a lobbyist.”

The group has been accused of “not just being Mommies,” but rather a highly organized political operation.

Tripp said there has not been a paid anti-gun lobbyist at the Texas Capitol since 2001. Nina Butts was the lobbyist back then for the Brady anti-gun campaign. Butts left the Capitol after it became dominated by Republicans.

Tripp says a Bloomberg-funded lobbyist is now working at the Texas Capitol.

Holcomb said, “Texas Carry’s position on the ‘Bloomberg cult’ is that they are irrelevant in Texas and they know that, so they do things like we witnessed the other day”.

From www.theblaze.com:

Hashim Fannin pulled into a parking lot of an Atlanta Family Dollar store earlier this month and someone immediately slid into his passenger’s seat.

“You know what this is,” the man reportedly said, seemingly letting his “victim” know it was a carjacking.

Before he could say another word, Fannin pulled his firearm and pointed it at the suspect, identified as 61-year-old Edgar Horn. He proceeded to hold his would-be alleged carjacker at gunpoint until police arrived — and a bystander caught it all on video.

“You picked the wrong (expletive) to try to rob today,” Fannin can be heard saying in the video.

“I wasn’t trying to rob you,” the suspect pleaded. “I thought you were my friend.”

“You thought I was your friend?” Fannin replied sarcastically. “So you woke up stupid this morning!”

When Horn argued that “everyone makes mistakes,” the gun owner immediately shot back, “You made a mistake and got in my god**n car — yeah, you’re right, that is a mistake.”

When Atlanta officers arrived, they shook the gun owner’s hand and took the suspect into custody.

“Good job, man!” one cop is heard saying..

“I look at it like this: Hey, that’s one less guy I’ve got to worry about bothering my mom when she’s out grocery shopping,” Fannin told WSB-TV.
