Three thugs in Oklahoma learned the hard way that gunfights are not supposed to be fair. We examine the use of the AR-15 rifle for home defense. Apparently not everyone in the United States understands that concept.
During our Fighting Fitness segment from SWAT Fuel, Paul and Jarrad will discuss cardiovascular fitness and the effects and benefits of training at elevation. Professional athletes, including a champion UFC fighter, understand the idea.
Also, during our Brownell’s Bullet Points feature, Paul considers the best ammunition to load in your AR-15 when considering home defense. Yes, it does make a difference.

From www.breitbart.com:
The son of a Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, area homeowner on Monday opened fire with an AR-15, killing three home invasion suspects.
The alleged invasion occurred around 12:30 pm on Clearwater Drive.
According to the Tulsa World, Wagoner County Sheriff’s deputy Nick Mahoney said the three home invasion suspects “were wearing all-black clothing, masks and gloves” and allegedly “forced their way into the home through a glass door in the back.” The homeowner’s 23-year-old son was asleep at the time, but awoke to “loud bangs” as the suspects made entrance. The son grabbed the AR-15, took position, and opened fire when the intruders walked into the hallway.
Two of the suspects collapsed and died in the kitchen, a third suspect managed to get out of the house but collapsed and died in the yard.
Two of the deceased individuals were “16 0r 17” years old. One of the suspects was “18 or 19.” Deputy Mahoney said “investigators found a knife on one of the deceased in the kitchen and brass knuckles on the other.”
Later on Monday, 21-year-old “Elizabeth Marie Rodriguez of Oologah” went to the Broken Arrow Police Department and turned herself in. She confessed to being the getaway driver for the dead trio and was arrested. She was charged with “three complaints each of first-degree murder and first-degree burglary.”
An unidentified neighbor who heard the homeowner’s son open fire said, “The shots were so loud — loud enough that I ran to the window to see what had happened. Something in me knew it was gunshots, but I didn’t know what had happened until I went to leave my house and saw all the police officers.”
From americangg.net:
In case you haven’t already heard, a 23-year-old man from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma made headlines this week when he shot and killed three teenage home invaders. The three teens had robbed the garage earlier that day, then returned to try the main house. They awoke Zach Peters, the homeowner’s son, who grabbed his AR-15 and defended himself against 3 armed and masked intruders.
Max Cook, 19; Jacob Redfearn, 17; and Jake Woodruff, 16, were shot and killed. Cook’s 21-year-old girlfriend, get-away driver, and “robbery mastermind” Elizabeth Rodriguez was arrested and charged with three counts of both first degree murder and burglary. Her murder charges come from the felony murder rule which charges anyone involved in a felony with murder if a death occurs during or due to the felonious act.
Now the family of one of the deceased criminals is complaining. They don’t believe it was fair that Peters was allowed to defend himself with an AR-15 when the criminals were only armed with knives and brass knuckles.
Leroy Schumacher, grandfather of Jacob Redfearn, says his grandson made a bad choice but didn’t deserve to die. “What these three boys did was stupid,” said Leroy Schumacher to ABC News. “They knew they could be punished for it but they did not deserve to die.”
Schumacher complains that it wasn’t a fair fight and his grandson didn’t have a chance to defend himself… while breaking into another man’s home and attempting to rob him. “Brass knuckles against an AR-15, come on, who was afraid for their life,” he continued.
Zach Peters has not, and will not be charged with a crime for a justified shooting of three armed intruders and Schumacher is furious. “There’s got to be a limit to that law, I mean he shot all three of them; there was no need for that,” said Schumacher.
Do you have anything you would like to say to Mr. Schumacher?

Grandpa isn’t too bright. The son with the AR-15, decided that if someone wearing black clothing, black masks, and at least one lethal weapon, have the stones to break into his home, it is time to act. I certainly am not going to wait, while a member of my family is stabbed, or beaten, or taken hostage. The son’s response was on hundred percent correct.
