Two stabbing rampages, two different countries and continents, separated by thousands of miles, but on common thread; Media Deception.

Professor Paul points out examples not just of what the big media says but how it seeks to deceive through omission.

During our Quiet Time moment from SilencerShop.com, Paul has a rather unique reading assignment for you.

Unlike most books offer before, this one is a bit of science fiction. Do not miss this episode.

From www.nbcnews.com:

A man armed with a knife killed one person and wounded at least three others in a dawn attack at a train station near Munich early Tuesday, officials said.

A witness said the suspect shouted “Allahu Akbar” — which means “God is great” in Arabic — but authorities later said he had no known link to a terrorist organization.

The German-born 27-year-old — who was not immediately identified — was arrested after the incident in Grafing, a suburb about 25 miles east of Munich’s city center. According to authorities, he was armed with a four-inch knife.

The attack happened at the S-Bahn commuter station at 5 a.m. local time (11 p.m. Monday ET).

Karl-Heinz Segerer, a spokesman for Bavarian State Police, said one man was stabbed on the train and a second victim was targeted on the platform. The suspect also stabbed two other men who were on bicycles at the entrance to the station.

The 56-year-old man stabbed on the train later died from his injuries, police spokesman Hans-Peter Kammerer said.

Bavaria’s interior minister, Joachim Herrmann, said the suspect had recently been stopped by police in another part of Germany because of his behavior and on suspicion of drug use.

“So far there are no findings that are relevant to state security about this person,” he told reporters, adding that the suspect did not appear in any database of Islamists or ISIS sympathizers.

Prosecutor Ken Heidenreich told a news conference that the suspect’s statements were inconsistent and that they are doubtful as to whether he can be held criminally responsible.

He was being medically evaluated to determine if he is fit to stand trial in court and whether he should be placed in a jail during pre-trial custody or in a psychiatric facility.

While the exact motive behind the incident remains unclear, authorities in Germany have been on alert for possible “lone wolf” terrorist attacks.

Hans-Georg Maassen, the head of Germany’s domestic intelligence (BfV), said last week that ISIS was following a “dual strategy” by planning both major attacks and “do-it-yourself” terrorists who are radicalized by the terror group’s online propaganda.

He cited the case of a 15-year-old Muslim girl, only identified as Safia S., who was arrested for attacking a German police officer with a knife at Hanover train station in February.

Prosecutors allege the girl, who was overpowered by another officer, was acting in the name of ISIS.

The two victims killed in a deadly rampage in Taunton have been identified as a New Bedford teacher and an 80-year-old widow.

The man accused in the attack, Arthur DaRosa, 28, of Taunton, went on a stabbing rampage in a quiet neighborhood and a mall that left two dead and five others injured. DaRosa was ultimately shot and killed.

DaRosa’s first victim, Patricia Slavin, 80, was stabbed with a kitchen knife as she ate dinner in her Myricks Street home after DaRosa crashed his vehicle nearby.

Slavin, whose daughter, Kathleen Slavin, 48, was also stabbed in the random attack, was described by neighbors as a kind and caring woman.

“My grandmother died of cancer. She would come over everyday and help her. She was just a very sweet lady,” one neighbor said. “Every morning she was in church … I don’t know. I can’t put words in it.”

Slavin has lived in the neighborhood for 50 years and was widowed years ago when her husband was killed in a car crash.

Kathleen Slavin was flown to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she is in intensive care.

After fleeing Slavin’s home in a stolen car, DaRosa drove to the Silver City Galleria Mall, where the rampage continued at Macy’s, then Bertucci’s.

George Heath, 56, a teacher at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School, was stabbed to death at Bertucci’s as he was having dinner with his wife, Rosemary.

“We heard a girl screaming then we saw the knife,” Rosemary Heath, wife of victim George Heath, said. “She started to run toward me he had the back of her shirt and kept stabbing her. By the time she got to me she was screaming, ‘Help me. Help me. Help me.’ I pushed her out of the way and put a chair between her and I.”

Rosemary Heath grabbed the suspect’s shirt and her husband George Heath went for the knife and tried to hold his arms down.

“He pulled his arm back and stabbed my husband in the head,” Rosemary Heath said. “The police officer, the off-duty officer came around the corner and told him to drop his weapon. He repeated it multiple times. He didn’t so he shot him. I would have been (the next victim). I was the only person standing right in front of him.”

She said her husband, a teacher, would be thinking of his students.

“He loved every one of you. Get big careers. Stay in school. Be smart. He would love that,” Rosemary Heath said. “He loved his dogs and windsurfing. He has friends going back to when he was 5-years-old. Everybody loved him.”

The unpredictable killing in a Bertucci’s Tuesday, she admits, has her left her in shock without her other half.

“It’s so unfair,” she said. “He was such a good guy he didn’t think about himself he thought about me and anybody else who was around him.”

The restaurant worker has been identified by the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office as Sheenah Savoy, 26, of Taunton. She is in serious condition.

Rosemary Heath called her husband “an everyday hero” who loved his students, his dogs, her and his life.

She said she will now “grieve, remember, get up and figure it out as it comes” and miss her husband.

“Mr. George Heath, one of our visual design instructors for the past 4 years, was a victim of a random act of senseless violence at the Galleria Mall in Taunton on Tuesday evening,” school superintendent-director James O’Brien said in a statement. “Mr. Heath was a tremendous educator with a great passion for teaching; he was influential in sparking creativity and a love of learning in all of his students.”

Three people at Macy’s were also injured during the incident, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office. Wendy Ann Oliveira, 45, of Berkley was treated and released; Laura Miola, 65, of Taunton, was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is expected to recover; and Jucelia Gleason, 38, of Taunton, was treated and released.

DaRosa had been battling depression and had just been released from treatment, according to his family.

DaRosa was manic and having suicidal thoughts on Monday, according to his family. He told his family he heard voices, including the devil telling him that suicide would be the right thing to do. He spent Monday night in Morton Hospital’s psychiatric ward and was discharged early Tuesday morning.

Family members said DaRosa was never violent and that he was a loving father of two young children.

Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald, Jr. said off-duty Plymouth County Sheriff Deputy James Creed, who was at Bertucci’s, shot DaRosa once in the abdomen.

DaRosa was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“It appears that but for the actions of the deputy sheriff, there may very well have been other victims,” Quinn said.

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has suspended all city-sponsored travel to North Carolina and Mississippi due to the states’ new transgender laws.

Rawlings-Blake made the announcement Tuesday in a letter to city officials, saying she hopes the city’s efforts combined with those of other governments and companies “will push North Carolina and Mississippi” to change.

The letter says cabinet members shouldn’t make travel requests to the two states “until the situation changes.”

The new law in North Carolina directs government agencies and publicly funded schools to designate bathrooms for people based on their genders at birth.

Mississippi passed a law, effective July 1, allowing workers to cite their own religious beliefs as a reason to deny service.

Rawlings-Blake says she won’t authorize trips to the states while the laws exist.
