Activists at Ohio State University held a protest this week that framed the killing of Abdul Razak Ali Artan during a terror attack as unjustified.

Eleven students were injured Nov. 28 when Mr. Artan turned his car into a weapon. The Somali immigrant and logistics management student was shot by Ohio State University Police Department Officer Alan Horujko, 28, before he could execute victims with a butcher knife.

Maryam Abidi, a fourth-year in women’s, gender and sexuality studies, defended the protest in a statement to the campus newspaper. She said Mr. Artan, 18, was added to a list of names of those wrongly killed by cops because lethal force cannot bring justice.

“In some cases, the deceased may have committed acts of violence against others before they were killed,” Ms. Abidi told the Lantern Thursday. “Perhaps they were domestic abusers, perhaps they threatened or killed others. This possibility is not something to shy away from. The protest against police brutality extends to the innocent and the guilty alike, because we know that no matter the crime, justice and due process don’t come from a cop’s bullet.”

The activist added that “right-wing pundits” have used the attack to focus “Islamophobia and xenophobia” onto Columbus….

While Jill Stein’s recount efforts failed to change the outcome of the 2016 presidential election, it did serve at least one purpose: to expose possible voter fraud in Democratic precincts in Detroit.

According to reports, too many votes were recorded in 37% of Detroits districts. That means in over 1/3 of Detroit, voting machines counted more votes than there were people who actually voted.

Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books. Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday.

The Detroit precincts are among those that couldn’t be counted during a statewide presidential recount that began last week and ended Friday following a decision by the Michigan Supreme Court.

The problems were the worst in Detroit, where discrepancies meant officials couldn’t recount votes in 392 precincts, or nearly 60 percent. And two-thirds of those precincts had too many votes.

“There’s always going to be small problems to some degree, but we didn’t expect the degree of problem we saw in Detroit. This isn’t normal,” said Krista Haroutunian, chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers.

Considering Hillary Clinton won these precincts by wide margins, it’s likely that the discrepancy padded her vote totals in Michigan, which she lost to Donald Trump by 10,704 votes.

A Muslim woman who drummed up mainstream media hysteria claiming she was attacked on a New York City subway by President-Elect Donald Trump supporters is now under arrest for fabricating the hate crime and filing a false police report.

Yasmin Seweid, 18, has been charged by the New York City Police Department (NYPD) for filing a fraudulent police report after she claimed Trump supporters called her a terrorist and attempted to pull her hijab off her head, the New York Daily News reported.

A source with the New York Daily News said Seweid stood by her story until NYPD continued to press her on the matter after finding no evidence that the attack occurred. Seweid admitted that she had fabricated the story, claiming she had family problems.

“This isn’t something we normally like to do but she had numerous opportunities to admit nothing happened and she kept sticking by her story,” the source told the New York Daily News on charged Seweid for filing a fake police report.

“We dedicated a lot of resources to this — and don’t get me wrong, this is what we do — but we had guys going back and forth, looking for video and witnesses,” the source continued. “And we couldn’t find anything.”

Seweid claimed in a Facebook post that Trump supporters yelled “Look, it’s a fucking terrorist,” and “Get the hell out of the country” and “You don’t belong here!”

Seweid also blamed New York City residents for the phony attack, falsely claiming “It breaks my heart that so many individuals chose to be bystanders while watching me get harassed verbally and physically by these disgusting pigs.”

When Seweid alleged that the Trump supporter attack happened, the mainstream media, including the New York Daily News and Buzzfeed, jumped on the story to report it as fact.
