Paul Markel and James Yeager at Tactical Response Class
Camden, TN – StudentoftheGun.com — YouTube, a Google subsidiary, is continuing its campaign of random censorship of conservative content creators. On December 6, 2017,YouTube removed the James Yeager channel completely. The Internet video giant stated that the video on the channel has “violated Community Guidelines”. No further reasoning or explanation was offered.
James Yeager, MFCEO of Tactical Response training academy, had over 330,000 subscribers and millions upon millions of views of his channel. Despite the amount of revenue generated for Google by Yeager viewers, YouTube decided instead to lean toward their leftist political values.
Why You Should Care
Whether or not you are a fan of James Yeager, even if he hurt your feeling and wounded your inner child, this random and arbitrary censorship should concern you. Yes, this action is censorship of someone who has a differing political opinion than the YouTube corporate structure. This censorship was not for pornography, drug use, or depictions of murder (that would kill 95% of all Rap videos). This censorship is about silencing creators who are not politically correct. If that does not bother or concern you, I would offer that you are part of the problem.
If you would like to make your opinions known, you can contact YouTube directly; call or send an email. You can show support for James Yeager and your display anger at Leftwing censorship by using the #UnBanJamesYeager hashtag and title in your own YouTube videos or social media posts.

How can we reach the Advertisers Google and YouTube rely on? If we can rally Yeager’s 300,000 and another 700,000, we could make a loud noise they can’t ignore.
Yeager earned it. This isn’t a swipe at the 2A
Did you watch the video in this post? It’s explained pretty well in the video…
Was it a swipe when they did it to Hickock, Sootch, or Military Arms Channel? It is not about the messenger, it is about the message. James has been targeted as a boundary test to see if the 2nd amendment community will ally or not, and where the limits of public outcry will be. YouTube is a business, that is loosing money I might add, that will respond to public pressure if we are united. Or you can be a fudd and say “well they aint coming after me”…
SOTG is just another ball swallower for JY.
It’s rather ironic. Yeager and his lackeys are crying for YouTube doing the same thing he does on his “getoffthex” site.
Last time I checked, James and his team didn’t accept tax dollars for that website. Ignorance is not welcome here, either.
Get Off the X has the same right as youTube to ban someone, and as consumers we have the right to petition those businesses if they do something we disagree with. We have an opportunity to show YouTube the importance of having these content creators on their platform by making them realize the revenue our views generate. This is a classic example of the “hand” of the free market, if we activate and move the needle.
Yeager is upfront on GOTX about what is allowed . It is also a private forum , where only registered members can see what is posted there . YT is a publicly view able website , that purports a voice for everyone . They have very vague guidelines that are randomly applied , mainly to conservative leaning content , with almost no recourse for the people that publish videos there . As the consumers and customers of YT we are asking them to replace a content provider .
Cool, thanks for doing your part to support your own community… Oh wait, that’s right… you DON’T. Get out of here.
Sorry, Mister Hipster. Just because I don’t back an unsafe, profane, embarrassment to the community who consorts with felons and threatens people on YouTube, don’t presume to know what I do to support the community.
He’s a bad apple and the less he’s in the spotlight, the better it will be for all gun owners – including Yeager himself. Enjoy your little blog.
It is actually pretty sad that our own community can’t unite. You’d rather throw our own under the bus simply because you disagree with him than actually stand together as a gun culture.
Thanks for not helping…
Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit, eh?
awe an anonymous internet critic…how refreshing.
You know whay they say… Haters gonna hate, uninformed Idiots gonna use vulgar comments to effortlessly dismiss what they don’t understand…
You mean like Yeager’s loudmouth vulgar persona? The same one that got his CWP yanked when he got on YouTube shouting that he’s an inch away from killing people? He’s an embarrassment to the 2A community. HE typifies what the antis think about crazy dangerous gun owners. Good riddance.
Have you ever met James or trained at Tactical Response?
You and I both know he hasn’t ever met James . He doesn’t train , as it would show how fragile his ego is . That is why he’s hiding behind a fake profile . OldArmy is an anti-gunner as much as any of them . He want to divide the gun owners , belittle them . He may even be worse as he might own guns . He may even hope to appease the rest of the anti gun folks by feeding them the gun owners he doesn’t like . He doesn’t care that they will come after him eventually so long as he gets to see those he likes taken down first
What did he actually say this time ? Did he indeed violate the guidelines? If so, it’s their site, their rules.
The trouble is the guidelines are relatively broad. It is my understanding that they can claim almost anything violates them. Their concept of “promotes violence” is being used against any gun content and self-defense content.
They’re pretty broad. The problem is that they are censoring our community while still allowing videos that actually violate their guidelines to stay published on their website.
Everyone understands the “their site, their rules” argument, don’t be simple. This is about showing businesses that the 2nd Amendment dollar is important. There are millions of gun owners in America, many who watch gun related content on YouTube. With access to platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram content creators like James Yeager have been able to educate the American populous on firearms to a level we had not scene in generations, which his one of the main reasons gun ownership is rising, and fake news about gun related issues is being called out as such. YouTube has every right to ban someone, and as consumers we have the right to petition those businesses if they do something we disagree with.
