The Accur8 sights are not just licensed and approved by Paul Markel himself, they also are designed and tested. Because you see the Professor spent weeks doing research, gathering data and brainstorming the design of these sights. Many hours of brain power used to make the most practical, reliable & universal handgun sights possible.
Once the thinking was done and it was time to review the sights, Prof. Paul got a pair of his own. He attached them to his personal Glock, and tested them out through dozens and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Throwing the gun on the ground, racking the sight off his belt, firing shot after shot, also with & without a suppressor attached.

The Origins
Some time ago, Jacob Herman of Night Fision approached Professor Paul. He asked, “Paul, if you could design a set of handgun sights from scratch, what would you do?” Now it’s not every day that you’re approached with a question like that. Paul had to give it some real though, which worry not, he had plenty on the subject matter at hand.
After many years of using firearms professionally, through all of his various occupations, Professor Paul is very familiar with what makes them good and bad. From fixed (black) iron sights, painted 3-Dots, gold bead, all manner & color of front sight ramps, 3-Dot Tritium, and unconventionally shaped ones. Paul knows what make sights good, and what make them trash. Even if it’s pretty trash, it’s still trash.
Something of great consideration, was how do you come up with a design for shooters of all skill levels? From law enforcement, to military, to the armed citizen. These sights are not only for those who need to pass police and other government qualifications, but for people who need to save their lives and the lives of others.
That is what Prof. Paul thought about as he created and work-shopped these Accur8 sights. How to make the best, most efficient, most reliable handgun sights on the market.
