Sometimes, Force is the only Option
Firearms are not for All Situations
Some people like to think that just because they have a gun, they’re good in terms of self defense. “I don’t know Karate, but I know Smith & Wesson”, yeah, but that S&W isn’t the best choice for all encounters. Say there’s a drunk guy who won’t stop bugging you for $5, or your ex boy/girlfriend is angry and aggressive (but unarmed). You just gonna whip out your gun and blast away?
Well you shouldn’t, for many reasons. Sometimes, it’s best to just take things into your own hands. Not every fight needs to be or can be settled with a gun. You say “Okay, I’ve got Pepper Spray”, that’s nice, unless your aggressor is right on you. Gotta think about the blow-back.
There are many scenarios in your daily life that could be easily or best resolved with hand-to-hand combat. That is what this video course is all about, to help you identify and deal with these scenarios as they come at you in your life.
Defense for All Sizes
One of the scariest, and fairly common, scenarios to be in is a larger man attacking a smaller woman. All PC things aside, that is an unfair fight from the go. While sometimes this scenario can be solved with a firearm or other self defense tactic, it’s very important to be able to defend yourself without any form of tool or weapon. Because sometimes, for whatever reason, you may not have access to them.
A kick to the groin, thumbs to the eyes, strike to the throat, all viable options to quickly and effectively take down or disable an attacker. While some people may be like “**** that, that’s cheap. Take ’em down with a hip toss and choke them out with a sleeper hold”. You can’t very well ask a 110lb woman to do that, or even a 110lb man. When you’ve got that Disparity of Force, you gotta do what you can,
Disparity of Force is essentially this, any Force on Force scenario where one party has a clear physical advantage. Be it a large man attacking a small woman, a healthy person attacking someone who is wounded or crippled, or Multiple on One. Although with the latter, lethal force is most often justified.
The Art of the Fist Fight
While this video course is about self defense and those serious situations, there is also an art-form to hand on hand combat. It is for sport and defense, but it is most important for defending yourself obviously. Having a formal martial arts or fighting education will never hurt or inhibit your ability to defend yourself. However unlike in sport, in self defense it all comes down to being able to disable and escape from your opponent as fast as possible.
But that being said, alongside Force Options, you are highly encouraged to enroll in a proper martial arts course. Not just you, but your loved ones as well. Get your kids into one, your boy/girlfriend, husband/wife. This course applies to everyone, and the art and practices of martial arts are as well.
