Ruger American Ranch Rifle Review
The professor discussed his experience with the Ruger American Ranch Rifle, highlighting its features such as flat dark earth stock, matte black barrel, detachable magazines, and picatinny rail.
He reviewed the rifle’s performance using a Voodoo X-ray scope, noting its effectiveness in shooting desert varmints in Wyoming.
The professor also mentioned that the rifle uses standard AR-15 magazines, which he considers ideal for a bolt-action rifle. Jarrad confirmed he had shot the rifle and remembered Jason using it in a precision rifle class. The discussion concluded with an update on the availability of the “Virtues of a Warrior” posters, which are now available for purchase on the shop SOTG website.
Gun Ownership and Media Perspectives
Jarrad shared a video about the importance of institutions by Yuval Levin, which Professor agreed to include in next week’s bonus segment under leadership or as a “Warrior of the Week” segment. They discussed upcoming events at Student of the Gun University, including classes in Kentucky, Texas, and Nevada.
Professor played a segment from John Stossel’s show highlighting how Hollywood often portrays armed civilians negatively, while real-life examples show that guns can effectively stop crimes.
They praised John Stossel for his shift from liberal views to presenting more balanced perspectives on gun ownership.
Voodoo X-Ray Marketing Discussion
The meeting involved a discussion about various topics, including the publication of an article on the Voodoo X-ray, interactions with Jim Shepherd regarding the “chicken wire,” and the marketing of products featuring the Voodoo X-ray.
Jarrad and Professor discussed the differences between quiet and silence, and the challenges of producing juice with a high waste rate. They also talked about the sale of a scarce pre-World War II Belgian Browning and the regulations around selling Nazi memorabilia online.
